Ecstatic Dance Schedule
Ecstatic Dance empowers people from all walks of life to express themselves freely, regardless of shape, size or background. The liberating atmosphere creates a melting pot of acceptance, while the fearlessness with which people move gives newcomers the courage to dance without inhibition.
The ancient Indian legend says that when the young god Krishna fell in love with his childhood sweetheart, the fair-skinned Radha, he was scared she would not like him because of his dark skin. When she heard about this, she took colorful powder and joyfully threw it all over his face and body to show him she would love him in any color.
This moment of innocent love is celebrated in spring all over India and Asia and has inspired many Western festivals to imitate their colorful fun. We use homemade, child-friendly, and washable color powder for this day. If you are worried about your clothes, you can turn them inside out. Come in white clothing that you don’t need anymore, it will be the most fun!
